We require a moderate level of physical fitness for this tour. Most of the day&rsquo;s spectacular sights are easily accessible from viewing platforms, boardwalks, and stairs. One of the walking tracks, however, is moderately steep and the path is over rocks rather than a paved boardwalk. No extended hiking is involved, but appropriate footwear for outdoor activity is required.

All of our tours operate with a maximum group size of 24 guests. We have a genuine commitment to the benefits of small group travel and do not compromise on this under any circumstances.

Pick-up is from most major hotels located in the Melbourne city centre. If you can let the tour operator know where you will be staying in Melbourne, they will be able to advise you of the nearest pick-up location and pick-up time.

Discover the stunning bush trails, sandstone peaks and impressive waterfalls that have made Grampians National Park famous on this full-day guided adventure for nature lovers. Learn all about the local history and culture of the nature reserve&nbsp;and spot native wildlife such as kangaroos and rare birds. Walk away with spectacular photos from the various lookout points that boast panoramic views over the gullies and mountain ranges of the park.

Depart Melbourne at around 8.00 am as we pass through the Western Plains of Victoria on our way to&nbsp;the historic town of Ballarat. Ballarat boomed in the 1850s with the widespread discovery of gold in the district.&nbsp;Learn a little about the history as we enjoy morning tea&nbsp;here at&nbsp;the site of the infamous Eureka Rebellion.

Continuing on our drive through the picturesque, volcanic plains, we pass through the town of Moyston, the birthplace of Australian Rules Football. We then arrive at the foot of the Grampians Range or &#39;Gariwerd&#39; in the local Jardwadjali language. On arrival, we immerse ourselves in the Australian bush with a gentle stroll&nbsp;to the Silverband Falls.

We next make our way into the township of Halls Gap , keep an eye open for the local kangaroos and abundant birdlife that can be seen in the main street.

We head to the Wonderland Turntable trail for a short hike to the Grand Canyon site. Marvel at the formidable rock walls, crisscrossed with layering and fault lines, showcasing the area&rsquo;s unique geology. Stunning panoramic vistas&nbsp;await at Reed&nbsp;Lookout which overlooks the towering Stringybark Forest and Victoria Valley.

&nbsp;

No trip to the Grampians would be complete without a visit to the&nbsp;majestic MacKenzie Falls. Set in a gorge surrounded by eucalyptus forest, the water cascades down over the rocks, creating a tranquil scene enticing all the senses. Walk the Bluff trail along the top of the cliffs to the panoramic viewpoint of the falls or journey down&nbsp;to the base of the steep gorge and gaze up at this truly impressive waterfall.

&nbsp;

Our next port of call is the Boroka Lookout, which provides unrivalled views of the surrounding region, overlooking the town of Halls Gap and further afield to Lake Bellfield and beyond.&nbsp;A dinner stop is made on the journey back to Melbourne (at your own expense)&nbsp;before we enjoy a stunning view of the illuminated city as we arrive back at your accommodation.
