Lessons are generally held at Redgate Beach; however, if conditions aren&#39;t suitable, The Operator will notify you of the best location for the conditions on the day. Please meet the van in the Redgate Beach Car Park 10 minutes prior to your lesson commencing.

Directions &ndash;&nbsp;From Margaret River town, head South on Bussell Hwy. At the roundabout, turn right onto Boodjidup Rd and continue to the end. Turn left onto Caves Rd. In 2kms, turn right onto Redgate Rd and continue all the way to the beach car park.

You don&rsquo;t really need to bring much to your surf lesson, but try to remember the following items:

	<li>Beach footwear in summer if the ground is hot</li>

Most of the lessons are held in waist-deep water, but The Operator will ask if you are able to swim 50 meters (the length of an Olympic swimming pool) so they are aware of your swimming ability. Please speak with your coach on the day if you have any questions or concerns about your swimming ability.

These 2 hour surfing lessons are great for first-time and beginner surfers, with full instruction and guidance by&nbsp;experienced surf coaches. You&#39;ll have use of all the essentials, including a surfboard, wetsuit, rash vest, and sunscreen.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Choose from public group lessons, which are best&nbsp;suited for beginners &amp; first-time surfers, or private group lessons, which are ideal for&nbsp;couples, families with children under ten years old or school/corporate bookings. The private experience also has the bonus of tailored lessons to better suit your group&#39;s skill and abilities, with more personalised instruction from your surf coach.&nbsp;

Finally, you can also select to do a single lesson, or go all in with a three or five-day package, with lessons on consecutive days for your chosen duration. It&#39;s a more intensive program designed to get you even better results.&nbsp;

Public Group Lessons

&nbsp;

The public group lessons include everything you need to know about getting in the surf, staying safe and most importantly, having fun! The highly qualified coaches will be with you every step of the way &ndash; on the beach for demonstrations, in the water for tips and assistance and right there when you &quot;claim&quot; your first wave.

&nbsp;

At the beginning of each class, the&nbsp;coaches will give you all the information you need to have you feeling assured before even getting into the water. They teach you about the waves, rips, potential hazards and surfing etiquette, as well as techniques on how to carry your board, attach your leg rope, paddle for a wave and stand up.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Once in the water, your coach will assist you with wave selection and help you balance as you get a feel for paddling and standing up on the waves. They will be with you every step to ensure you feel safe and get the best advice for a top-quality lesson.

&nbsp;

After the lesson, the coaches are there for a debrief and to provide any further advice and knowledge you may want on developing your skills or setting yourself up with your own equipment suited to your needs and abilities.&nbsp;

Private Group Lessons

The Private Group Surfing lessons are perfect for couples who want to share their experience with just the two of them and&nbsp;groups of friends or families who wish to personalise their surfing experience. It&#39;s also ideal for families with younger children who may need more supervision in the water&nbsp;or those who have a bit more surfing experience and want to customise their lesson to suit their abilities.

These surfing lessons give you everything you need to know about getting in the surf, staying safe and, most importantly, having fun!&nbsp;At the beginning of the lesson, your coach will give you all the information you require to have you feeling assured before even getting into the water.

&nbsp;

Beginner surfers will learn about the waves, rips, potential hazards and surfing etiquette, plus&nbsp;techniques on how to carry your board, attach your leg rope, paddle for a wave and stand up. Intermediate to advanced surfers will learn how to improve paddling, pop-up, duck dive, and trim&nbsp;across the waves and turns.&nbsp;

After the lesson, your coach is there for a debrief and to offer any further advice and knowledge you may want on developing your skills or setting yourself up with your own equipment suited to your needs and abilities.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h4>PARTICIPANT DECLARATION</h4>

In consideration of Organisers accepting my application to participate in the Program, I acknowledge, understand and agree that: 
&ldquo;Organisers&rdquo; for the purposes of this declaration means the Surf School and includes, where the context so permits, Surfing Australia Ltd (&ldquo;SA&rdquo;), SA affiliated state surfing associations and their respective directors, officers, members, servants or agents.

Warning:&nbsp;Participating in the Program can be inherently dangerous. I understand the nature and requirements of the Program and acknowledge that serious accidents can and often do happen which may result in me being seriously injured or even killed. I have voluntarily read and understood this warning and accept and assume the inherent risks in participating in the Program.

Physical Fitness:&nbsp;I must not participate in the Program if I have any injury, disability, medical or health condition that may increase the risk of me becoming injured unless I have told SA about it and they have authorised me to participate. I declare that I am medically and physically fit and able to participate in the Program and I will immediately notify SA of any change to my fitness and ability to participate. I understand and accept that SA will continue to rely on this declaration as evidence of my fitness and ability to participate.

Instructions:&nbsp;I will at all times comply with the instructions and safety procedures of SA.

Medical Treatment:&nbsp;If required, SA will arrange medical or hospital treatment (including ambulance transportation) for me. I authorise such actions being taken by SA and agree to meet all costs associated with such action.

Release &amp; Indemnity:&nbsp;My participation in the Program is entirely at my own risk and I agree to: 
(a) Release and forever discharge SA from all liability and Claims that I may have or may have had but for this release arising from or in connection with my participation in the Program; 
(b) Indemnify and hold harmless SA to the extent permitted by law in respect of any Claim by any person including but not only another participant in the Program arising as a result of or in connection with my participation in the Program.

In this clause 6 &ldquo;Claims&rdquo; means and includes any action, suit, proceeding, claim, demand, damage, penalty, cost or expense however arising (including negligence, trespass to the person or for breach of implied terms in the sale of services under section 74 of the Trade Practices Act (1974) Cth and equivalent provisions contained in State sale of goods or fair trading legislation).

Identity:&nbsp;Photographic and or visual images taken by SA of my participation in the Program may be used for general promotion of SA activities.

Privacy:&nbsp;I understand that the information provided by me in this form is necessary for the operation of the Program. I acknowledge and agree that the information will only be used for the objects of SA and to provide me with information pertaining to the Program and SA activities. I understand that I will be able to access my information through SA upon request. If the information is not provided I might not be permitted to participate in the Program.

I have read, understood, acknowledge and agree to the following declaration including the warning, release and indemnity.

<h4>CANCELLATION POLICY</h4>

We surf in all weather and surf conditions providing it is safe. If the surf is too big, or the conditions unsafe, then we will reschedule the lesson. If we change the time and you are unable to come to the new lesson, then we will provide a refund. Otherwise there are no refunds, transfers to other people, or cancellations.

<h4>PAYMENT POLICY</h4>

Customer service is important to us. We want your online payment experience to be fast, friendly and most importantly secure. Our online payment site is operated by SA affiliated surf school and Rezgo.

Our Surf School is dedicated to keeping your details private. Any information, we collect in relation to you, is kept strictly secured. We use this information to identify your orders, and to provide you with further information about your Surfing Lessons or Gift Vouchers.
